Video of my first fill

I don't know how but, my Son Lachie managed to find the video that he filmed on my iPhone of my first fill.  I have uploaded it to YouTube.  Here's the link...

No, it's not flattering (nor is it supposed to be!) and if you're a regular reader, you'd know I am about keeping it real - warts and all (no, I don't have warts but I do have a fat tummy!).

The video does contain a little bit of blood at the end of it (not much) but also does show a needle so, if you are a bit squeemish because you don't like blood or needles, I don't suggest you watch.  It's not a close up shot (if this helps make it a bit easier to watch).

Enjoy!

  1. Thank you for sharing this. I will have my first fill on the 15th of next month. I am excited and seeing that video makes it seem a lot less scary now.

  2. I was so worried! Jason did get the spot the first time in this one but the day after when I had to have some taken out, it took a little longer but it didn't hurt. It wasn't uncomfertable. If you're a bit worried, get some emla gel and rub it in and you won't feel it as much. The port is just under the skin - it's not going through layers of muscle or anything so it doesn't hurt as much as what we might think it did (or would have).

Happy that this has put you at ease :) let me know how your fill goes.

  4. Yes, Anon. I am huge. I am not going to delete your comment as what you have written is a valid observation. This is why I have had lap band! So I am no longer huge but healthy.

  6. Gosh Anon, how clever you are to observe the bleeding obvious, but Steph is a damn sight braver and smarter than you. Putting herself out here to assist others! Yes, she is a big girl, but she is also losing weight and getting healthy, you will continue to be a moron. Say something constructive or supportive or say nothing you fool. Ronda (a supporter of Steph and fellow bandits).
